Hail to Persephone!
Welcome to the online shrine of Persephone, the ancient Greek Queen of the Underworld! Persephone is the wife of Hades, Lord of the Dead, but she was once Kore the Spring Maiden. She spends the warm half of the year in the upper world, opening the blossoms and bringing fertility, and the cold half of the year underground with her husband, where she counsels and comforts dead souls. Hail to Persephone, light and dark, summer and winter, above and below!
