Invocation to An Morrigan
by Hanna
Morrigan, liminal one, who lives underhill,
She who sees both the ways and the veil,
She who gathers the dead in her arms,
Queen of Shadows I give honor to you.
Eater of pain, I call to you.
Life laid bare before you.
The litany of regret passes not unsaid.
It is the voice that cares which speak of this failing.
Let me now set regret aside.
Now is the time to let go of pain and moments misspoken.
I have made mistakes. I seek to let them go now.
I have been unwise – take my pain.
I have ignored vision – take my pain.
I have neglected piety – take my pain.
I have been less than courageous – take my pain.
I have failed in integrity –take my pain.
I have faltered in perseverance – take my pain.
I have exhausted fertility – take my pain.
I have been inhospitable -- take my pain.
I have been immoderate –take my pain.
An Morrigan, Pain Eater, Death Keeper, Prophecy Maker,
I ask you to take my mistakes and pain as a gift,
As an offering to you that I may strive
To be my best self in the coming year.
An Morrigan accept my offering!
